Do I need any skills or qualifications?

To become a care assistant, no formal qualifications are required. However, the position of a community carer is a big responsibility and is often very demanding. An honest, kind and caring nature is essential. We assist and encourage our carers to carry out additional training during their employment at Assured Care.


Although no formal qualifications are required, we generally prefer you to have a car (with valid insurance) for travel.

Care Assistant (Full time, part time)


We are a Domiciliary Care Agency in Stockport who provide high quality care to people within their own homes. We have been established for over 21 years and currently provide care to the Stockport Borough.

We aim to recruit and train carers to the high standards required to deliver the care to those who need help or assistance at home.


No previous experience is required, as full training is provided throughout your employment.


Unfortunately we are currently unable to offer sponsorships.

As a care assistant you will be helping service users with various aspects of their daily life including:

  • Companionship
  • Personal care
  • Assisting with meal and drink preparation

  • Taking service users out to shopping trips, appointments and other outings such as for a walk to the park, for a coffee etc
  • Other errands such as collecting prescriptions


This is a domiciliary care role, meaning you will be required to provide care in the service user's own homes.  You will mostly stay in one area only during a shift; you will not be required to travel to all areas listed.


We require carers in the following areas: Bramhall, Hazel Grove, Romiley, Marple, Offerton.


All applicants must be/have:

  • Aged 18 or over
  • Friendly, courteous and approachable
  • Reliable and organised
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work as a team
  • A full UK driving license and access to your own car


We have full, part time and weekend only positions available, between the hours of 07:00 – 21:30.


  • Daytime shift 7am - 2pm
  • Evening shift 3.30pm - 9.30pm
  • You will also be required to work a weekend on/off


Access to your own car with a full UK driving license is highly desired.


All successful applicants will be asked to complete a DBS check with our company and be inducted.


The rate of pay for a full or part time role is £12.60

For this role you must work full days on Saturday and Sunday every weekend as per your contract. Shift pattern is typically 07:00 - 21:30 with a break in-between.


A full UK driving license and access to your own car is required for this role.
